We have implemented important procedures and practices and are following governmental orders and CDC recommendations to provide you with a safe and enjoyable resort experience. CITY OF SANIBEL MASK MANDATE
PLEASE NOTE: Effective July 3, 2020 the City of Sanibel requires the use of face coverings for those over six years of age while indoors at a business or other place of public accommodation. Therefore, guests must wear a face covering while in any indoor public area in the resort including, but not limited to, restrooms, lobby, restaurants (until seated), spa, marketplace, sea school. Please carry a mask with you at all times so you may easily comply with the City’s face covering proclamation. (The requirement does not apply to those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing a mask or would cause impairment due to an existing health condition, those who are seated at a dining table or bar in a restaurant and those who are exercising. Guests do not have to wear a face covering while they are inside of their hotel room.) The resort will operate in compliance with all state, county and local restrictions and guidelines.
GBAC PANDEMIC SAFETY ACCREDITATION
Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. This accreditation verifies that Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention and validates that Sundial implements best practices to prepare for, prevent and respond to pandemics, including COVID-19. GUEST CHECK IN/CHECK OUT AND LOBBY PROCEDURES
When checking in, we ask that only one member of your party come to the front desk while the remainder of your party stays outside or in your vehicle. We request that you practice social distancing while in the lobby and any resort common area. A plexi partition will separate guests from team members, key cards and pens will be sanitized and resort bracelets will be individually wrapped. In addition, guests will handle their own credit card transaction. Guests are encouraged to check out remotely and may request their bill to be emailed to them prior to checkout so that all charges may be reviewed.
Guests without transportation who require luggage assistance from the lobby to their unit may be transported in a golf cart, however, only members of the same party/unit may ride together.
CHOICE OF DAILY GUESTROOM HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE
Upon check-in, guests will make a choice to accept or decline daily guestroom housekeeping services. This choice will remain in effect for the duration of their stay.
Guests declining daily housekeeping services may be provided with supply replenishment, towel exchange and trash pick-up. Please call 239 472 4151 or respond to your welcome text to arrange for these services as needed. (Please do not leave trash outside of your door. You may also bring your trash to the receptacle on each floor.)
All housekeeping staff will wear masks and gloves. New gloves, cleaning wipes and microfiber mop pads will be used when entering a new unit. Each unit will be fully cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. Cleaning procedures and cleaning solutions follow CDC approved guidelines and recommendations. Units will receive thorough cleaning with extra attention paid to high touch areas; special EcoLab cleaning products will be used. A housekeeping supervisor will inspect units prior to check-in and will use an ozone machine and electrostatic sprayer in each unit.
Public areas and restrooms are cleaned frequently with special attention paid to high-touch areas. No-touch hand sanitizer dispensers are placed around the resort for your convenience.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES
All staff, both in preparation and service, adhere to strict precautions and will wear masks and gloves. Single use menus will be used and menu QR codes will be available for those preferring to scan menus using their personal device. Indoor and outdoor dining will adhere to current governmental guidelines and capacity orders. Enhanced cleaning procedures are in effect and include sanitizing chairs and tables between parties. No parties larger than ten may be seated together. Credit and room charges are highly encouraged. Per city proclamation 20-040, guests must wear a face covering in indoor restaurants until they are seated at their table. Take-out and delivery service is available for those preferring to dine in their guestroom.
The fitness center and recreation facilities are open and following CDC health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Pool chairs, beach chairs and cabanas will be set in compliance with current guidelines. Please limit your grouping to immediate family members of no more than ten. When using the hot tub, please follow social distancing protocol and limit use to one family at a time.
All team members have undergone training concerning COVID safety, health and sanitization as well as social distancing. All team members will wear masks while in public.
