85th Annual Sanibel Shell Show & Festival
March 3 – 5, 2022
The world’s longest-running shell festival returns for its 85th year. This much-loved annual event showcases both scientific and artistic shell exhibitions. See rare finds, peruse works of art created from found shells and shop for new pieces to add to your collection.

33rd Annual “Ding” Darling Day
April 24, 2022
Last year’s event was postponed but the celebration is on the books for 2022! “Ding” Darling Day is a free community event that helps to share the refuge’s work with the larger community. Attendees can enjoy activities including urban birding, bike tour, nature journaling, mobile exhibits, art demos and so much more!

10K Race 4 F.I.S.H.
October 28, 2022
This fun and friendly 10K helps to raise money for F.I.S.H. of Sanibel and Captiva. This organization is dedicated to supporting our local community. The ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ approach proves social services, education and assistance to those in our community in need of support. Sundial has enjoyed working as a sponsor and participating in previous years.
Taste of the Islands
TBD – Typically held in November
Taste of the Islands is a delicious way to tour the flavors of Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Participating restaurants feature special dishes and proceeds go to support the CROW Clinic for Wildlife Rehabilitation. Eat well and do good? Sign us up!
Luminary Stroll
December 2022
Each holiday season, the Sanibel & Captiva Chamber of Commerce hosts the Luminary Stroll. Attendees will enjoy a community viewing of holiday decorations, live music, photo ops with Santa, holiday shopping and more. It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit!
