Beach Vacation Resolutions

DATE: December 20, 2018

It’s that time of year again! The time where we reflect on the year we’ve had and start thinking about the year ahead. This year, instead of focusing on the same old boring resolutions you make every year (save more money, eat healthier, exercise more, etc.), we thought it would be a little more fun to come up with some more exciting, vacation-oriented resolutions.

  1. Spend more time in the water

Did you know that salt water has documented, proven health benefits? It’s been shown to be an excellent exfoliator and it increases blood flow and circulation, which both lead to healthier looking skin!

  1. Take time to appreciate nature

Sanibel Island is the perfect place to unplug a bit and explore the natural world. With miles and miles of trails, beaches and waterways to traverse, there are almost endless opportunities to enjoy the island’s natural assets.

  1. Try new flavors

Expand your palate by trying new dishes and flavors that you can’t easily find at home. We know not everyone is lucky enough to have access to fresh seafood all the time so make sure to take advantage of it when you can!

  1. Learn something new

At Sundial you can learn to paddleboard, expand your knowledge of shells, learn to identify local birds and so much more. Sanibel Sea School’s Sundial campus makes it easy for our guests to learn new skills without leaving the comfort of the resort.

  1. Spend more time with family and friends

We think one of the best parts about vacation is being able to spend time with family and friends without the pressures of everyday life getting in the way. It’s the perfect chance to catch up, reconnect and make new memories with the people you love most.

  1. Use your vacation days

Did you know every year, millions of vacation days go unused in America? Don’t be a work martyr – you need and deserve a break. Take that time to relax and unwind.

We hope you’ll use these resolutions as inspiration for your own 2019 goals. Happy New Year!
