Easy Ways to Wind Down on National Relaxation Day

In honor of National Relaxation Day, we asked Heather from the Kay Casperson Lifestyle Spa & Boutique at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa for a few tips on how to best celebrate this zen holiday no matter where you are.

  • For a relaxing aroma that will help with sleep place lavender essential oil in a diffuser and run it for 15 minutes before sleeping, or in your bathroom while you take a bubble bath.
  • For a relaxing and uplifting aroma in an office or home combine eucalyptus and peppermint essential oil in a diffuser. The eucalyptus will promote a subtle, tranquil aroma and the peppermint will help with any headaches, promote concentration, and uplift the mood. 
  • Taking 10 minutes each day to slow down and reflect on the positive, while focusing on your breathing is a simple addition to your routine that is sure to give your body a relaxing, revitalizing moment of clarity and assist with energizing you for the rest of the day.
