2016 Elaine McLaughlin Outstanding Hospitality Service Awards
Providing an unmatched vacation experience to all of our guests is of paramount importance to the staff at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, and when you work hard to give your guests a great experience it’s always nice to be recognized. That’s why during the recent 2016 Elaine McLaughlin Outstanding Hospitality Service Awards Ceremony, a program designed to recognize and award hospitality professionals on the beaches of Lee County, we were thrilled to see so many of our staff members nominated throughout various categories as some of the best of the hospitality industry.
With over 60,000 jobs in the hospitality industry in Lee County, taking care of guests and residents makes up a large chunk of the population. Last year alone, over 5 million visitors entered the county, and all were met with excellent hospitality and customer service. This year there were a total of 943 nominations in various categories nominated by many guests and residents, 29 of which were Sundial staff members. Our nominated members were:

The awards ceremony also celebrated recent graduates of the Guests First Customer Service Training Program, which is offered in partnership with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. Graduates then take the exam to be Certified Guest Service Professionals. This year Sundial had four graduates in the program, Marina Bloetz, Maria McKenna, Michelle Davis, and David Irwin.
