Celebrate Game and Puzzle Week with the Activities Department
In honor of this week’s Game and Puzzle Week, we want to recognize the team of Sundial Beach Resort & Spa employees dedicated to fun, games and activities. Each member of the Activities Department uniquely contributes to the experience we offer guests, ensuring that each guest enjoys their stay with us!
Kevin Snyders
Activities Director
Kevin loves to play all sports. The Sundial Activities Department offers beach volleyball, soccer shootouts and tennis rackets for our six hydro grid tennis courts. Kevin also recommends guests play golf at the nearby Sanibel Island Golf Club.
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Hobbies: Softball, Fishing, Golfing, Snowboarding and Watching NFL Redzone

Why the Activities Department is Special: “The activities department is unique because of our diverse staff and our diverse interests. We have developed an Activity Calendar based off of the interests and passions that we enjoy doing in our spare time. This technique enhances the guest experience because the guests can see the enthusiasm bursting out of us during each and every activity. We have the best job anywhere and we would like for everyone to come and experience it, first hand.”
Claude
Activities Supervisor
Claude’s favorite activity at the resort is Sundial’s new “Morning of Expression” sunrise inspired painting activity. He’s also pretty good at Log Rolling in the resort’s main pool!

Hobbies: Soccer & Going to the Gym

Best Resort Memory: “Last season, we had a movie night featuring the movie ‘Frozen.’ During the movie, the main song began to play and the entire pool deck audience began to sing it together. They were dancing, laughing and having fun making memories.”
Gretchen
Gretchen originated the idea of our new guided bike tours, which are now part of the monthly Activity Calendar for guests. Sundial also offers the bikes as a complimentary amenity to resort guest of all ages and sizes! The Activities Department even features kitty carts, bikes with training wheel, tandem bikes and surreys.

Christian
Christian’s favorite Sundial activity is paddleboarding, and he enjoys offering guests tips and lessons when using Sundial’s six brand NEW California Boarding Company Paddleboards!

Matt
Kayaking is Matt’s favorite activity at Sundial. We have both single and double kayaks for resort guests. Compete in our two-man kayak sprint and race for a fun prize!

Hobbies: soccer, golf, tennis, fishing, traveling, working out

Meagan
Meagan enjoys helping our younger guests create masterpieces. Whether it’s tie-dying a T-shirt, decorating a treasure chest or painting a wooden dolphin, she can help guests create a Sundial keepsake.

Jean
Jean loves games. Whether it be poolside trivia, table tennis tournaments or photo scavenger hunting- Jean loves partaking in all of the resort’s activities. He also enjoys playing chess, checkers and board games, located at the Activities Hut as a complimentary amenity for resort guests. Don’t forget to challenge him to a game of corn-hole during your next stay!

Visit the Team
The Activities Department encourages guests of all ages to visit the Activities Hut, located alongside the pool deck, for endless indoor and outdoor onsite activities including biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, arts, crafts and games.
