This month at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa we are excited to introduce the newest member of our sales team, Ashley Goldberg. Get to know our Catering Sales Manager by reading her interview:
Where are you from?
Originally I’m from the north, Philadelphia to be exact.
What’s your background and how long have you been in the wedding and event business?
My background is in Hospitality Management. I’ve been working in the wedding and event industry for over three years at Ritz Carlton Resorts and the Treviso Bay Country Club of Naples.
What drew you to Sundial?
It’s hard not to love a beachfront resort property with so many amenities to offer, but, honestly, it was the people and sense of community that really made me want to join the Sundial team.
What are some of the elements you feel make for a great wedding?
Great people, both the guests and the team that runs the show, make the day. Top off great friends and great service with delicious food and lively entertainment and it’s destined to be a wedding for the ages!
What is your favorite thing about Sundial as an event destination?
I just love everything this property has to offer – the restaurant mix, variety of event spaces and the available amenities just make this a prime event location.
What are your top tips for someone planning an event?
Attention to detail and organization make events happen flawlessly. If those aren’t your strong suits, hire someone. It will be worth every penny when your event goes off without a hitch and your guests can’t stop thanking you for such a perfect night. However, whether we’re working with a planner or directly with a bride, our goal doesn’t change. We will always strive to get every detail perfect for our clients.
What are your favorite foods to serve at a beach wedding?
I think beach weddings, and outdoor warm-weather weddings in general, lend themselves to light and fresh fare. Fresh seafood, grilled veggies, plenty of fruit – these foods just feel perfect for a light and breezy outdoor affair.
