Makenzie & Brett’s Sanibel Wedding

Just last month, Makenzie and Brett tied the knot on the beach at Sundial in a beautiful Sanibel Wedding. We asked Director of Sales & Catering, Tracy Snyder, for the behind-the-scenes scoop on this magical day.

The couple took advantage of many different locations throughout their wedding weekend. Beginning with an island-style rehearsal dinner on Turtle’s Beach, followed by the East Beach Ceremony, Cocktail Hour on the Lace Murex Lawn, Reception on Turtle’s Beach and an after-hours pizza Party in Sea Breeze Café.

On the couple’s must-do list was recreating the cover photo from the April 2021 issue of Southern Living, featuring Sundial. They knocked it out of the park!

The flowers, provided by Floral Artistry of Sanibel, added a light and tropical touch to the décor, with pops of color on display at the reception tables.

The bride walked down the aisle barefoot with her father but was preceded by a wagon filled with adorable flower girls, including the couple’s daughter, and a ring bearer, escorted by their “driver” and chaperone.

The Signature cocktail of the evening was Lime in the Coconut. This is one of our favorites, with a flavor similar to a pina colada.

The couple chose the Sanibel Dreams plated dinner package and it was a huge hit with all the guests.

One of the funnier moments of the day was the ever-present groom’s head. Made by the bridesmaids during the bachelorette celebration, these cutouts were hidden around the venues for guests to find and pose with throughout the event.

Thanks to a stunning full moon, Makenzie & Brett opted to do a second nighttime portrait shoot to capture the beauty of the evening.

Throughout the entire day, laughter and smiles were all around. This couple was so relaxed and had such a wonderful time enjoying their big day. Wishing you many happy years together!
