Southwest Florida Pickleball Pro League Comes to Sundial
This October, the Southwest Florida Pickleball Pro League will hold an exhibition at Sundial. The free event is an opportunity to watch the pros battle it out on the courts. The league is made up of 25 pros, including nationally ranked, gold medal winners, and US Open and USA Pickleball National Champions. Among them are Sundial’s own Racquet Sports Manager, Josh Jeffcott, an IPTPA Certified Level 2 Pro, and Professional Pickleball Player, Kyle Yates.
Kyle Yates started playing pickleball after he was introduced to the sport by his uncle. In his first USAPA Nationals event, he won gold in Mens’ doubles 19+ and went on to be the number one player in the world and amass 12 major championship wins.
This year, the league is comprised of 4 teams and overseen by Josh Jeffcott as the league commissioner. Sundial is also proud to be sponsoring one of this year’s teams as the Sundial team!
Southwest Florida Pickleball Pro League is scheduled to play just 14 games over the course of this season in and around Lee and Collier Counties, making the exhibition at Sundial one of only a few opportunities to watch these pros play right in front of you! During their last event, almost 600 people came out to watch the games at a standing-room-only event.
