Sanibel Sea School Introduces Wetland Tours

DATE: October 31, 2018

Next month, Sanibel Sea School is adding a new program for the Fall/Winter season! It will be a Wetland Tour where guests can learn all about animals, plants, water quality, and more throughout Sanibel’s natural wetlands.

From Sanibel Sea School

Join Sanibel Sea School educators for a driving expedition of Sanibel’s diverse mangrove ecosystem. We’ll hop aboard our air-conditioned vans and venture throughout Sanibel to discover the flora and fauna that make up this unique natural ecosystem. Our educators will discuss mangrove ecology, as well as the biology of the wildlife that we observe along the way. We will spend time bird watching and we may have the opportunity to see some other interesting creatures during our trip.

Activity level: Low

We will primarily be seated in an air-conditioned van but will have multiple opportunities to hop out of the van to take a closer look at some of the plants and animals along our drive. We will be standing for no more than 10 minutes at a time.

Ages: Adults 18+ (minors may attend accompanied by a parent or guardian that is 18+)

Schedule: The programs are scheduled for every Thursday (except Thanksgiving) from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Classes may end earlier than that, depending on traffic. Classes are currently scheduled for 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, and 11/29.
