Sundial Beach Resort & Spa Achieves Pandemic Safety Accreditation

Sanibel, FL – January 28, 2021- Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has announced that it has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. This accreditation verifies that Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention.

As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program validates that Sundial implements best practices to prepare for, prevent and respond to pandemics, including COVID-19.

“GBAC STAR accreditation shows that we have proven systems in place to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our guests and team members,” said Sundial’s general manager, Becky Miller. “By taking this important step to pursue and earn GBAC STAR, Sundial Beach Resort & Spa has received validation that we follow strict protocols for biorisk situations, and have demonstrated our  preparedness and commitment to operating safely.”

To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, Sundial was required to demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
