Sanibel Island, Fl (July 27, 2026) – Sundial Beach Resort & Spa is inviting beachcombers and shelling enthusiasts to experience the ultimate coastal escape during its Shell Lovers Weekend, taking place Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8, 2026. 

Located on the renowned shores of Sanibel Island—widely recognized as one of the premier shelling destinations in North America—the three-night resort package offers guests an immersive itinerary guided by local marine and shelling experts.

Package Highlights Include: 

  • Expert-Guided Experiences: Shelling 101 presentation and morning guided beach walks hosted by experts from the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium. 
  • Island & Cultural Excursions: Boat excursion to Cayo Costa with Adventures in Paradise (sack lunch included), plus a guided tour of the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium and shell crafting with the Sanibel Shellcrafters at the Sanibel Community House. 
  • Social & Festive Gatherings: A themed welcome reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a call for guests to wear their best seashell attire, a group dinner in the Sundial Ballroom with shell bingo and a conch blowing contest, an ice cream social, and an exclusive guest speaker session.

  • Optional Early Arrival Activity: Early arrivals on Thursday, November 5, can participate in a volunteer beach clean-up initiative alongside the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) and Sundial team members.
