Sundial Invites Tennis & Pickleball Players to Tournament
Sundial Beach Resort & Spa will host the Sundial Battle of the Islands Tennis & Pickleball Weekend Smash open to players 18 and over. Slated for April 25 and 26, event categories include Men’s and Women’s Doubles for Tennis and Men’s and Women’s Doubles for Pickleball. Tennis divisions are 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+. Pickleball divisions are Novice, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5+.
Players are invited to register at the Racquet Sports Office at the resort, located at 1451 Middle Gulf Drive, or by emailing christian.clark@sundialresort.dev.onpressidium.com. Pricing is 40.00 per person for tennis or pickleball, or 70.00 for both. Registration closes April 22.
“We’re looking forward to a great weekend of competition and camaraderie” said Sundial racquet sports manager and tournament organizer, Christian Clark. “This is our first year hosting a tournament with both sports in the same event.”
With a long legacy of island tennis, Sundial’s facilities are recognized area-wide and have repeatedly been named the “Best Tennis” on Sanibel & Captiva Islands. The resort features six state-of-the-art subsurface HydroGrid® courts. In 2017 the resort added twelve Pickleball courts with stadium seating at a

The two-day tournament schedule features tennis on Saturday, April 25 and Pickleball on Sunday, April 26. Registration includes a Sunday poolside BBQ with live music.
