Sundial Offers Great Special for Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Goers

You don’t have to be Gilligan to enjoy the 2016 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. Although the Minnow, the charter boat on which the smash 1960s sitcom star was first mate, may have ended up shipwrecked on a “tropical island nest” somewhere in Oahu’s Kaneohe Bay, you can spend your days enjoying Southwest Florida’s beautiful barrier islands while listening to the world’s finest music.

The 10-day Island Hopper Songwriter Fest starts Sept. 23 on Captiva Island and ends Oct. 2 on Fort Myers Beach.

Top Stars Set To Perform

Country musician Maren Morris is the fest’s headline act. Her single, “My Church,” is in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot Country chart.

In its third year, the event hosts dozens of top songwriters who have produced top hits for big-name artists including Jake Owen, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Celine Dion and Ariana Grande. The songwriters perform their hits in intimate settings throughout the area.

The free event is being presented by BMI, iHeartMedia, Cat Country 107.1 and the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau.
