Indulge Your Sweet Tooth at Bailey’s

Earlier this month, Monika, the cake master extraordinaire at Bailey’s General Store, competed in the America’s Cake Fair in Orlando. It was her first time entering a cake contest with Bailey’s and she can’t wait for the next one!

“The cake we entered was in the Novelty category and we called it ‘Under Florida’s Sun’. The main body of the cake is shaped like a sea turtle, a tribute to the many turtles that nest on the shores of Sanibel every year. The cake itself was a checkered mix of vanilla and chocolate,” Monika said of her team’s creation. “After this competition experience, I really think we will place at the next contest, which is in Miami in April of 2018.  Next year’s cake will be titled ‘Mermaid Lagoon’.”
