Destination Wedding Headquarters
We really are your destination wedding headquarters. Bring your wedding party and all of your guests down to Sanibel Island for an unforgettable wedding weekend. We have a variety of venues that will work for each of the different events you are planning, from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch and everything in between.
Welcome Reception
As your guests arrive to start the weekend celebration, you’ll want to plan a welcome reception. This is the perfect time to greet your guests and get everyone in the celebratory mood. Pass out the weekend’s itinerary and go over the details. Our covered terrace overlooking the pool makes the perfect spot for the welcome reception. (In the case of inclement weather, we always have an indoor space reserved for your function.)
The Special Extras
To make your wedding weekend really unique, how about a cigar roller at your welcome reception? Guests will enjoy watching him roll and make the cigars himself. Each can include a monogrammed band with what else, the initial of the bride and groom. Everyone will be talking about your wedding!
Rehearsal Dinner
Our Waterview Private Dining Room makes the perfect spot for your rehearsal dinner with its panoramic views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. Our catering staff can assist in planning the perfectly plated dinner or buffet.
Ceremony
Consider holding your wedding ceremony on our West Lawn. The expansive lawn overlooking the Gulf creates a romantic, tropical backdrop with its swaying palm trees and the soft whisper of waves. Or, exchange vows directly on the shell-strewn sandy beach with the blue-green waters surrounding you.
Cocktail Hour
While the bridal party is busy with final photographs, your guests will relish the breathtaking views during cocktail hour on the Sundial Terrace. Like this recent couple, consider having a solo saxophonist playing soothing tunes as your guests enjoy passed hors-d’oeuvres and the terrace fire pits. Can you picture it?
Reception
Our Sundial Ballroom can seat up to 250 guests making it the ideal venue for your wedding reception. For an outdoor affair, Turtle’s Beach provides a private hedged beach location overlooking the Gulf.
Farewell Brunch
For final goodbyes, plan a farewell brunch the morning after your wedding on our hibiscus bordered Lace Murex Lawn, which affords views of the Gulf in a verdant setting complete with tall palms.
